  • Processed Foods: A study from 2018 that was conducted on over 100,000 individuals deduced that there is a link between consuming processed foods and developing cancer of some type. Some of the common instances of processed foods include:
  • Instant soups
  • Ready-to-make meals
  • Packaged buns & bread
  • Packaged salty snacks or sweets
  • Food products containing fats, sugars, and oils
  • Processed meat products
  • Red & Processed Meat: As per a study report from the American Institute for Cancer Research reveals that consuming red meats or processed meats on a regular basis can increase the overall risks of developing colorectal cancer and stomach cancer. Some of the processes meats you should avoid are:
  • Hot dogs
  • Ham
  • Bacon
  • Bologna
  • Sliced turkey

Alcohol: There is a strong proof that when you consume alcohol on a daily basis, it can increase the overall chances of developing cancer in various areas of the body including colorectum, mouth, liver, pharynx, larynx, esophagus, and breast cancer.

Overweight Issues and Cancer Risk

While there are certain dietary requirements that increase the risk of developing cancer, obesity, and overweight issues can also accelerate the condition. As per a study report from the National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases, it has been revealed that over two-thirds of individuals in the USA are obese or overweight. Being overweight or obese can increase several health-related risks including type-2 diabetes, heart-related diseases, and even cancer of some types.

People who are overweight or obese, are at a higher risk of developing cancers, including breast cancer, kidney cancer, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovary cancer, and prostate cancer. Therefore, it is recommended to keep a check on one’s diet to lower the risks of developing cancer.
