At the recent China Expo 2018 held in Chongqing, China –a high-tech focused ultrasound system for the treatment of cancer tumors was developed by the nation. This research of treatments for cancer has gained interest from all over the world.

The all-new ultrasound system referred to as the “Haifu Knife” comes with the specialized feature –it can help in treating cancer tumors present on the soft tissues without even cutting the body open or invading the body with a laparoscope. Therefore, the given revolutionary med-tech by China is termed to be completely non-invasive for the treatment of cancer.

The system makes use of the principle of focalizing the ultrasound just outside the body onto the target tumor cancer cells inside the body. As such, this non-invasive medical technology is able to produce a higher temperature of around 65-100 degrees Celsius at the focalized point. This, it tends to induce the irresistible and spontaneous necrosis of the tumors without damaging the surrounding tissues. Peng Xiang –the European Manager of the International Department of Chongqing Haifu Medical Technology Ltd, demonstrated the working of the ultrasound machine.

As the machine causes no significant injury to the skin & the surrounding tissues, the operation would require no sterilized operating room. In addition to this, there is no requirement for general anesthesia except for minimal analgesia during the treatment.

A surgery that took place with the Haifu Knife equipment at the reputed HUMT Hospital of Barcelona University, Spain took around only 15 minutes for ablating the cancer tumor of 4.5cm dimension –as per the doctor who performed the surgery.

Given the significance of the particular non-invasive treatment for fighting cancer, the world can look up with new hopes in the field of effective cancer treatment.
