Benefits of Citrus for Great Health!


Citrus fruits not only look beautiful but along taste provide numerous health benefits. Scientists have studied citrus fruits to inquire about their role in lowering the risk of gastric cancer. Citrus fruits like orange, lemon, lime, and grapefruit provide us with a significant amount of vitamin C.

Factors such as age, sex, and possible risks were taken into consideration. The adjusted pooled ORS (95% Cl) for highest third was 0.80 (0.73-0.87).


It was seen that when 3 servings were given each week to the patients, protective effects increased. The magnitude of association observed was quite similar as in the case of cancer sub-sites and histotype. An inverse relation was seen between citrus fruit intake and gastric cancer. This was according to the data obtained. However, in America, geographical areas didn’t show the association. Now it wasn’t easy to draw any conclusion because scientists didn’t find an association between cancer reduction and citrus fruits in America.
